The Firenze Red Lions are proud to announce the signing of Giovanni La Rocca, an Italian running back who will join the franchise ahead of the 2026 AFLE season.

Born in 1999, La Rocca brings experience, physicality, and a competitive mindset. Standing at 182 cm and 100 kg, he is a complete backfield player, capable of combining power and balance in every game situation.

Throughout his career, he has played for Muli Trieste, Leoni Basiliano, Mastini Verona, Vipers Modena, Giaguari Torino, and Warriors Bologna, building a solid path within the Italian American football landscape and continuously developing both technically and athletically.

His arrival represents an important addition to the Red Lions’ offensive unit, bringing depth and experience to a key position within the system.

Giovanni will complete the current season with the Warriors Bologna before officially joining the Firenze Red Lions program, ready to begin this new chapter in his career.

The organization welcomes him with great enthusiasm and looks forward to the contribution he will bring both on and off the field.
