The Firenze Red Lions are proud to announce the signing of Matteo Mozzanica, an Italian wide receiver who will join the franchise ahead of the 2026 AFLE season.

Born in 2000, Mozzanica is one of the most impactful players in the European American football scene. Standing at 185 cm and 83 kg, he combines speed, technique, and big-play ability, making him a constant threat to any defense.

Throughout his career, he has gained significant international experience, playing for the Vienna Vikings and Carlstad Crusaders, while also making his mark in Italy with the Milano Seamen and Skorpions Varese.

His arrival represents a high-level addition to the Red Lions’ offensive unit, bringing quality, experience, and leadership to a group that continues to grow.

Mozzanica will complete the current season with the Legnano Frogs before officially joining the Firenze Red Lions program, ready to begin this new chapter of his career.
